When saying someone is not a
Christian, we often unwittingly label them with a sense of hopeless
finality. Keep in mind that while they live there is hope and never
give up on anybody. Our job is to pray for all in our vicinity,
gracefully witnessing as opportunity arises and to always act with
Christ-like attitudes – we are not called to ‘write’ people off. If
we behave like a true Christian – witnessing by our actions, negative
people (whom we thought were beyond hope) may turn around and start
questioning what makes us tick and the Power behind it.
Only God can judge if a person’s negative volition has
gone past the point of no return. If a person is still living and has
not yet believed in Christ as Saviour, the best way of labelling that
person is: ‘not a Christian – YET ’. (Psalm 149:4)
